The Benefits of Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding offers many benefits to both mother and baby that formula cannot replicate. It contains numerous immune factors, is specifically tailored to match each baby's individual needs and facilitates close contact between mother and baby, thereby enhancing the bond between them. It helps the uterus to shrink back to size after birth, reduces the risk of certain cancers and osteoporosis, requires no preparation and is free!
Antenatal Breastfeeding Session - £50
A two hour session in the comfort of your own home to pave the way to a smooth breastfeeding relationship. We will discuss how to get off to a good start with breastfeeding, attachment and positioning, how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk, how to recognise that something might be wrong, feeding patterns, ways to express and store breastmilk and any other topics that you would like to cover. Other couples welcome to join if you'd like to host, in which case the fee will be £35 per couple.
One-to-one Breastfeeding Support - £40 for an initial consultation, £25 for a follow-up visit (if needed)
As a qualified breastfeeding supporter (I am a certified breastfeeeding counsellor with Childbirth International) I have extensive knowledge and training in supporting breastfeeding and am able to come to your home to offer one-to-one help and support with any problems or concerns you may have. Whatever the problem, I am here to help so that breastfeeding becomes a joy for both mother and baby.
