Mother Nurture  -
Antenatal Classes - £160 for a 6 week course
Antenatal classes are a traditional part of pregnancy for lots of people and are a great way to meet people having babies at the same time as you as well as, crucially, giving you the information and tools to make informed choices for your pregnancy, birth and early days of parenthood.

Mother Nurture antenatal courses are held in Central Ely and run for 6 weeks.  They cover many aspects of labour and birth, including birth physiology, pain relief options, the process and stages of labour and how partners can help and medical scenarios that may arise and how you can make informed choices in dealing with them.

Within the course there is a specific class on infant feeding and it also covers basic infant care, such as bathing and nappies.

One Day Labour and Birth Workshop - £50 (dates on application)

Topics to be covered include:

*
The physiology of labour and birth.
*  Pain relief options for labour.
*  How to keep birth active - positions for labour and birth.
*  Relaxation and massage techniques.
*  How to be an effective birth partner.

If group classes are not for you then I also offer two private antenatal sessions, one focussing on preparing for the birth and one on preparing to breastfeed.  Both are available at any stage in pregnancy, although the childbirth session is perhaps most beneficial at around 32-34 weeks so that you have a chance to think through your options and preferences in good time before the birth.

Childbirth Preparation Session - £50
A two hour session in the comfort of your own home to talk through your options and preferences for your birth.  We will cover such topics as optimal foetal positioning, birth physiology, pain relief, positions for labour and birth, options for the third stage of labour and any other matters you may want more information about. Other couples welcome to join if you'd like to host, in which case the session will be £35 per couple.

Antenatal Breastfeeding Session - £50
A two hour session in the comfort of your own home to pave the way to a smooth breastfeeding relationship.  We will discuss how to get off to a good start with breastfeeding, attachment and positioning, how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk, how to recognise that something might be wrong, feeding patterns, ways to express and store breastmilk and any other topics that you would like to cover.  Other couples welcome to join if you'd like to host, in which case the session will be £35 per couple.
